The Avon Maitland District School Board is inviting applications for one (1) Summer Student position to support the Student Services, IT & Data Department at the LRC in Clinton. 

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Employment Start Date: May 21, 2025 (start date negotiable)

Employment End Date: August 20, 2025

Compensation Package Details :

Rate of Pay : $22.15 - $26.53 per hour as per Level 1 in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Employment for Non-Union, Management, Administrative and Supervisory Employees.

Summary:

Reporting to the AMDSB Research Manager, to support the Student Services, IT & Data department with the development of a data warehouse. This position will be predominantly remote work, with an expectation to meet with supervisors as needed.

Qualifications:

• Registered to return to full time post secondary schooling in the Fall.
• Completed at minimum, 1 year of post secondary education in a software engineering/computer science program, (or related field of study).
• Demonstrated ability to work positively and cooperatively as part of a team.
• Familiarity with the use of technology to manage large volumes of digital records, would be considered an asset.
• Enhanced understanding of statistics, including data collection (qualitative and quantitative), extraction and modelling.
• Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Understanding and commitment to confidentiality, and data privacy expectations.
