Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program Instructor

AMDSB, through the Ontario Association of Adult and Continuing Education School Board Administrators (CESBA), provides a Personal Support Worker Certificate Program that is recognized by the Long-Term Care Association of Ontario. Co-operative education experience, a PSW certificate from the Long Term Care Association and secondary school credits are attainable for students in the program.
NOTE: Program will not proceed if student enrollment is insufficient.
We are accepting applications for a temporary Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program Instructor at various sites across Huron and Perth Counties.
Reports to: Principal of the Centre of Education & Learning
Compensation Package Details:
Rate of Pay: $40.82 - $47.54 per hour plus 4% vacation pay in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Employment for Non-Union Centre for Employment and Learning Employees.
Hours of Work: Instruction will occur for 18-27 hours per week (dependent on registration numbers), 2-3 days per week, Monday to Friday. There may be some weekend work to support the co-op portion of the program. *Please note that total hours will be determined by the number of courses AMDSB is able to run.
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: Conditional on funding and need
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Courses will be delivered at various locations in Huron and Perth Counties and will be delivered both in-person and virtually. The successful applicants will be responsible for instructing and assessing in courses such as Health Care 1, Health Care 2, Child Development and Gerontology, and Clinical and Community Placement.
